Bootstrap and its subsidiary Electrical Coin Co. (ECC) are happy to announce the most recent Bootstrap board member, Zaki Manian. Manian is co-founder of iqlusion and a frequent contributor to the Cosmos ecosystem, and he has served as a technical advisor to ECC since January 2020.
Manian has deep experience in cryptography and distributed consensus programs, serves as government director of Trusted IoT Alliance (now a part of Trade IoT Consortium), and is an advisor to Tendermint and several other different funding funds and startups within the house.
“Zaki combines product and engineering imaginative and prescient with an elaborate spirit of collaboration, and we’ve had good luck with Z names,” stated Alan Fairless, a Bootstrap board member, angel investor, and co-founder of SpiderOak.
Manian joins Fairless and different present Bootstrap board members: Christina Garman, assistant professor within the Division of Laptop Science at Purdue College and one of many seven scientists who invented Zerocash (Zcash); Andrew McLaughlin, an entrepreneur and tech coverage activist who served as Deputy Chief Expertise Officer below Barack Obama; and Zooko Wilcox, ECC founder and CEO.
